Often times my spice blends are born from necessity or completely by accident. Snapdragon came about because I had a customer in my cafe that could not have mayonnaise. She really wanted to eat my snapdragon steak panini but didn’t want the horseradish sauce that we call snappy sauce because it had mayo in it. So I mixed some powdered horseradish, BBQ seasoning, and a touch of cayenne pepper together to create a seasoning for the meat! It was a hit! And thus snapdragon seasoning was born. I highly recommend it on potatoes, steak, and it makes a fabulous dip! However due to it’s powdery nature it is definitely not a finishing seasoning. Though delicious, the texture does limit it’s applicability.
